Project Management packages are available but most systems aren't designed to be used over the Internet and therefore won't allow you to update information from remote locations, away from the office.

Off the shelf packages are not generally designed with smaller businesses in mind.

They do not make it easy to use a number of databases together, i.e. customer/worker/supplier.

Specialist employed to design and build your site

You could write code and use it to adapt an already established package like MSProject to fit your needs. This is an expensive way to proceed however and if MS decide to change the way that MSProject works then your solution may stop working.
